About Us
Community Hub Inc (CHI) is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organisation that is managed by its members, comprising key stakeholders and local residents of the Colac Otway Shire in south-western Victoria. CHI supports Colac Otway residents by:
- Advocating on behalf of Colac Otway Shire residents for improvements to the availability and accessibility of government and community services, and ensuring Colac Otway residents have a say in local council decision-making processes
- Promoting opportunities for participation in life-long learning and pathways to employment, healthy lifestyles and community activities, and development of accessible, sustainable, safe and supportive environments and community facilities
- Facilitating community programs
- Managing special events

To build an Inclusive, Connected and Informed Community, through the creation of opportunities for learning, public participation and diverse partnerships.
Every four years community Hub Inc works along side its members and key stakeholder to develop a set of Strategic Directions that guide the work of Community Hub Inc to fulfill its Mission and Purpose

In line with our statement of purpose, Community Hub Inc’s aim is to empower individuals so that they can participate at their own level of activity under the headings as indicated in the following strategic directions:
Engage
- Talk with and listen to the community.
- Ensure the communities’s voice is heard, considered and actioned.
- Encourage community participation in Community Hub Inc. programs.
Partner
- Work together with other services, organisations and people to achieve positive outcomes for the community.
Respond
- Keeping up to date with what’s happening in the community and ensuring programs and services meet community needs.
Sustain
- Planning for the future of CHI, with a focus on finances, resources and opportunities for growth to maintain CHI Governance and programs.
